The Chinese firework manufacturer, Sinomax, will set up its future European production and distribution hub on the site of the former Sugny military depot in the Namur municipality of Vresse-sur-Semois.

The purpose of the installation is to enable Sinomax to make top-of-the-range pyrotechnic products locally for distribution within Europe rather than importing them from China. In its initial phase, the installation of the production unit will create 20 jobs; the second strand will generate 50 to 80 mainly local jobs.
