An important partnership, concluded between the spin-off BioXpr (a start-up created from a university research group) from the University Faculties of Notre-Dame de la Paix (FUNDP) in Namur, and the American company Meta-Informatics from Austin (Texas), will allow the creation of more accurate medical diagnosis thanks to better technological processing of several billion pieces of genetic data.
The Americans have the technology that will allow their Walloon partner to better identify, process and compare all the genetic cells it has.
In exchange, the Namur spin-off, consisting of seven trained biologists, will provide the Americans with all the data that it has. "By combining all this data, and thanks to more advanced technology, we will be able to offer the most complete genetic analysis possible."
