Rudi Willemans: "The choice of Ghislenghien can be explained by its central location in Wallonia, its proximity to Flanders and our other distribution centres, as well as its accessibility via the E429 and the other Walloon motorways. Added to this is the availability of land, the subsidies obtained - especially European - and the availability of a qualified workforce."

These assets clearly won over the group since, in 2015, a new Colruyt distribution centre was inaugurated in Ollignies (Lessines). The total investment represented €79 million. Initially, 500 new jobs were created in this sustainably designed centre which ultimately will provide 1,000 jobs.
