A springboard for life-science projects and ingenuity in engineering!
Biopark Incubator 2 is being inaugurated on 24 April at Gosselies Aéropole.
Built by Igretec with support from Wallonia Region, the buiding will welcome innovative projects and young companies in the life-sciences and engineering sectors.
The building has some 4800m2 of office floor-space and laboratories, modulable to suit the needs of the companies accommodated there, plus a complete floor of empty rooms (GMP).
The first tenants will be moving in over the next few weeks: by the summer, around
a quarter of the floorspace should be occupied.
The building is managed by Biopark Incubator, a newly-formed team, which is setting up at the centre of Biopark Charleroi Brussels South. Biopark Incubator fulfils three roles:
accommodating young companies, advice and finance, and providing support for entrepreneurial projects (evaluating the potential of the technology, setting the company’s strategic direction, working out the business model, financial plan, etc.).
All of which gives added impetus in speeding up the economic development of Biopark – which already
employs nearly 600 people – and the region of Charleroi!
